About our club
OUR Teams
We have 5 adult mens teams across all 4 Bristol Downs League Divisions playing on Saturday afternoons during the season. The teams include: Saints Old Boys First X1, Saints Old Boys Reserves, Saints Old Boys A, Saints Old Boys B and Saints Old Boys C.
MATCHES
All 5 teams play on Saturday afternoons during the season (September-April), kicking off at 2.00pm. All matches played in the historic Downs League, on Clifton and Durdham Downs (The Downs). See pitch layout here.
Training
Training is held throughout the year, with pre-season 7-a-side and 11-a-side matches on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout the summer of 2023. Learn more
MANAGEMENT
The club has a management board comprising; Graham Hibbard - Chairman, Graham Edgell - Club Manager, Nik Beatty - Hon Secretary, Peter Harrington, Paul Millener and Chris Nichols - Vice Presidents/Directors, Brian Meredith, Laurence Goodliffe, Chris Straker, Gordon Thomas and Jeff Bull - Non-managerial Vice Presidents.
SOCIALS
The club has a vibrant friendly social side that includes an annual tour to European destinations and plenty of local occasions throughout the season. The club headquarters are at The Victoria Inn in Westbury on Trym.
BRISTOL DOWNS LEAGUE
Formed in 1905, The Bristol Downs Association Football League, is an English football league based in the city of Bristol. It is a completely standalone league system which does not feed into the English football league pyramid.
