The beginning

1968: Founded as St Andrews Park, joined Bristol Avon League playing home games at Pen Park School, Southmead.

1969: Joined the Bristol Regional League.

The Seventies

1971: Joined Downs League (Div 4)

1972-75: Promoted to Div 3 in 1972. Div 3 Champions 1974 & Div 2 Champions in 1975 (also reach first Norman Hardy Cup final in 1975, losing to League Champions St Gabriels)

 1977-79: Reserve Team formed in 1977 (Div 4 champions 77/78 & promoted again in 1978/9) – 1st team League Champions for first time in 1977/78 & win Norman Hardy Cup for first time in 1979.

the Eighties

1982: League Champions & Norman Hardy Cup winners, the Club’s first League & Cup double.

1985-1989: League Champions for 6 seasons equalling 70-year-old record of consecutive championships (with Union Jack in 1920’s). League & Norman Hardy Cup doubles in 1988 & 1990. 3rd team formed in 1989.

The nineties

1992-94: 3rd team disbanded after 3 seasons (1992) & 1st Team reach 11th Norman Hardy Cup Final.

 1995-96: Reserve team dropped & Club then run with only 1 team, taking over the Reserve team place in Div 3 as Horse & Groom. Div 3 champions & winners of All Saints Cup.

1996-2001:  Promoted back to 1st Division in 1996 but relegated for the only time to Div 2 in 2001. Club name reverts to Saints Old Boys.

THE NauGHTIES

2008-09: Promoted back into to Div 1 & reached the Norman Hardy Cup Final, narrowly losing to Sneyd Park.

2009-11: Reserve Team re-introduced becoming 4th & 3rd Division Champions in consecutive seasons.

The Twenty Tens

2014-15: Third Team reformed to play in Div 4. First Team win Norman Hardy Cup for the 5th time, beating Clifton St Vincents 1-0.

2016-17: Fourth Team formed, known as Racing Mouse. 3rd Team are Div 4 champions. Racing Mouse then become Saints B side.

2018-19: Club celebrates it's 50th year since foundation in 1968. 3rd Team reach final of All Saints Cup but narrowly lose to APS in a gale-force wind.

 2019-20: Racing Mouse resurrected as 5th Team. 4th team reach semi-final of GFA Minor Cup. Reserves win through to the final of GFA Intermediate Cup but season curtailed due to COVID-19.

THE TWENTIES

2020-21: After 12 month delay due to the pandemic, Reserve Team win GFA Cup on penalties in front of a COVID restricted crowd. It's the Club' s first GFA title.

Graham Edgell wins prestigious Harry Bamford Trophy for services to grassroots football.

2021-22: 50 years since joining the Downs is celebrated with the 4th Team winning the All Saints Cup on penalties.

2022-23: 1st Team win Norman Hardy Cup beating Sneyd Park Res on dramatic fashion with an injury- time winner.

2023-24: Reaching new heights

The Saints 1st Team secured an unprecedented treble; winning the First Division (for the first time in over 30 years), the Norman Hardy Cup and the BBC Trophy.

Cup final day saw hundreds of Saints fans take to the downs to watch the lads take the cup home after a dramatic penality shoot-out.

In the other leagues, former Racing Mouse team formally becomes the Saint’s 5th Team. Now known as “Saints OB 'C' Team”.
